If you notice that you have an active hive, start dialing our number right away. Bees are not so much dangerous as they are simply protective of their hives. Aren't you protective of your life's work?
Don't be scared, just remain calm and make slow movements. Walk slowly and deliberately calm. If you can move close enough to take some photos or video, do. Remember, until you spotted them they were carrying on from 9-5 every day just doing what these solar powered creatures are born to do...work.
Try not to bother, hit, poke, or spray anything on the hive. The safest thing you can do is pick up your phone and call us to narrate the scene. We can determine how long they have been there, among other factors, and decide what is the next best step.
